Get the Support for Role-Based Access Control

Introduction

Role-based access control helps you to manage the access for the different roles of the organization. With the help of this tab, you can allow access to the members based on their different roles and responsibility. You also have the option to customize the accesses based on the requirements.

Overview

The role-based access control help to restrict the network accessibility for the individual organization members based on their different roles. It is an advanced access control system for ensuring all the members are provided with their required access. The access can be customized for all the employees based on their role requirements. Through role-based access control, you can control the activities of the end-users from top to bottom level.

You can designate whether the user is an administrator, or an end-user, and can assign roles and access permissions accordingly. Permissions can be only allocated with enough access as needed for employees to perform their jobs.

To customize the access based on the role of the employee you need to select the appropriate options from the role management tab. In this tab you will get various types of access options i.e., view, create, edit, execute, delete, download, review, and clone.

How to Create New Role?

  1. Click on the create new role option, and you will be redirecting to the below screen.

  2. Now fill the details of the role such as name and role description.

  3. Assign the task and access based on the requirement of the role.

  4. Now, click on apply to save the role for future use.

 

 

Steps to use Role-Based Access Control

  1. To start with the role-based access control, you need to click on role management from the profile drop-down options.

2. Now, you need to select the particular role from the role details tab. This tab consists of the role-based information categorized in three fields, i.e., name, description, and actions. In this tab you will also get the option for adding a new role, it can be found from the top right button in the tab.

In this field you will get the details of the role.

User

This section will provide brief information about the role.

Actions

This section consists of two aspects Delete and Users. From this field, you can delete the role or can view the user details based on your requirements.

 

 

Users for Role

The user’s for role field associated with the information’s related to the specific user. This filed consists with two options i.e., available and selected users. You can select the required users from the available list as shown below.

 

3. To provide the specific access you need to select the role and you will be redirect to the specific tab. Here, you will get the options for providing access to view, create, edit, execute, delete, download, review, and clone for the particular task based on the role. After you select the particular option you need to click on apply to save it for the particular role.

For example: If you want to give the report view and review access to the assistant admin then you only need to enable the view and review option and disable the other options.

View
